TONY IOMMI announced solo album and launched the lead single

BMG Records is pleased to announce the worldwide release of guitar legend Tony Iommi’s brand-new album. The album is titled From The Dark and will be launched on October 23rd, 2026 via BMG.

The album kicks off with the first single, “World Alone,” which premiered tonight as part of a special worldwide streaming event. The event took place in Iommi’s hometown of Birmingham, just a few steps away from the famous Black Sabbath Bridge, which opened in 2019 as the city’s tribute to the iconic band.

“World Alone” is a powerful rock song driven by fast-paced guitar riffs and virtuoso solos. Backed by a powerful rhythm section and crowned by the distinctive voice of renowned Norwegian singer Jørn Lande, the song unleashes its full force.

The video is set in a retrofuturistic, dystopian world. The main character—The Believer—is drawn into a disturbing video game where she fights for her life and ultimately seeks redemption.

On From The Dark, Tony Iommi is accompanied throughout by Jørn Lande, who co-wrote all the songs. The band is rounded out by bassist Becky Baldwin and drummer Karl Brazil.

The album was produced by Tony Iommi together with his longtime creative partner Mike Exeter, who also served as co-writer, producer, and sound engineer. The result is a crystal-clear, powerful, and monumental sound that immerses listeners in a modern soundscape—both contemporary and timeless.
