Review TRAITOR ‘Teutonic Slaughter – Live’

Balingen in Germany is known for the Bang Your Head festival which unfortunately doesn’t exist anymore. Now it is up to Traitor, hailing from there, to keep metal alive in Germany’s southwest.

After having released four studio albums the band launch a new live album. It is already the second live release of the Teutonic metal warriors as the band launched with ‘Inclination to Aggression’ a first live recording rather early in their career.

Inspired by thrash metal veterans like Kreator and Destruction the band adds the unbound energy of youth to the mix which is now documented on ‘Teutonic Slaughter’.

The album was recorded at Schlichtenfest 2022 and showcases a band that is hungry. Traitor’s show covers all longplayers released by the band; from the starting ‘Thrash Command’ from the debut to the latest studio album called ‘Exiled to the Surface’ which is represented by heavy pounding songs like ‘Into the Nightosphere’.

In addition to the audio format the CD will also a QR code which will guide fans to the video version of the show which provides a little extra for everyone who loves underground thrash metal.

‘Teutonic Slaughter’ is an authentic live album with a great sound and still a few edges. Headbanging is guaranteed by each of the ten tracks and hereby Balingen will stay on the map of enthusiastic metalheads.
