AKVAN and the ‘Two Centuries of Silence’

Akvan is a one man black metal project hailing from Iran. The multi-instrumental musician recorded a 4-track EP which was released in 2020, called ‘Two Centuries of Silence’. Now it’s Subsound Records that is releasing the EP in a limited vinyl format (red (100 copies) and black (200 copies)).

Akvan’s music is quite interesting since the passionate musician combines raw and harsh black metal outburst with Persian instruments like the tar and the setar. Using these instruments is like a new soice to black metal and it’s worth check out the songs.

Thank you to Davide at Subsound Records for his professionalism, reliability, and for believing in my project. My new EP, ‘Two Centuries of Silence’, will be released on limited edition red and black 12″ vinyl on March 19, 2021. I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who has ever supported Akvan. It really means a lot, considering I never expected this to be anything more than an experiment I’d share with a few close musician friends. I stand truly humbled. Thank you all!
