Already while listening to the record the first time transferred me back in time to days when the band got out of the starting blocks. 'Titans of Creation' has the power of the first three longplayers, using modern production techniques that help to even strengthen this sonic punch. 'Titans of Creation' is raw and unpolished, still benefiting for a well-crafted sound.
Martin Mendez steps out of the shadows and stands with White Stones in the spotlight with a first prove of work that shows that the Uruguayan musician has much more to offer than merely a solid grooving bassline for Opeth. 'Kuarahy' is a multi-layered album that shows the songwriting talent of a guy that hided this talent for too long.
belts before starting the engine. The power of the album otherwise might blow you away. 'Rush of Death' is a really strong album, brimming with power and energy. Well-done and great stuff for headbangers.

If a band releases 13 longplayers they must do something right. In case of Gotthard they probably did/do more than just one thing right with their new longplayer being one example. They handle the balancing act between hard and mainstream well, partly even too well. However, fans of solid Rock music will find some songs on the album they will like and so do Gotthard fans that are more related to mainstream.
‘The Ghost of Orion’ is the return of a band that belongs to the spearhead of Death- and Doom Metal. It seems like that the dark shades of the last years slowly fade away and reveal a band that finds back to their own strength. I guess there is no better way than celebrating the band’s 30th anniversary with an album like ‘The Ghost of Orion’.
Burning Witches needed a few month to regroup and adapt to the line-up changes. Now they are back with the decisive third album, expressing that the quintet came back to stay. Horns up.

The Night Flight Orchestra release with 'Taurus' a next song, taken from the 'Aeromantic' longplayer that's released today.
One of the essential assets of The Night Flight is their excellence sense for big melodies. While listening to sings like ‘Divinyl’ and ‘Transmissions’ I’m tempted to say that The Night Flight Orchestra evolve to the ABBA of Rock. These song have an easy-going vibe, catchy melodies and still enough depth to avoid triviality. It’s not that these songs curries favor with the listener per se. Hooks and harmonies are the irresistible factor though for each of these tracks with various layer being the decisive factor for more than one spin of this longplayer.
