CADAVER is back with a new EP

Norwegian death metal veterans Cadaver return today with a new 3-track EP.

‘D.G.A.F.’ is the title of this release that comes kind of left-field. Cadaver today, that’s founding member Neddo, who teamed-up in 2014 with drum-ace Dirk Verbeuren. This EP is a first and big step for Cadaver to return to the metal scene.

Cadaver started in 1988 with some break-ups and restarts, including also a stint as Cadaver Inc.. with the latest full-length album dates back to 2004 when ‘Necrosis’ has been released. Now, after inking a deal with Nuclear Blast the death merchants are back.

The EP is an impressive one with the roaring and raging title track as a starting point. Screaming guitars and a partly murderous tempo characterize the opener and it’s no less than Carcass’ mainman Jeff Waker having an appearance too. ‘Deformed Insanity’ is the ruthless continuation, a song with a solid groove , hoarse vocals and well-done breaks.

Last but not least there’s ‘Disgrace’, starting as a slow and evil riff monster with siren-like leads. Cavader shifts gears though rather quickly and what started as a slowly crawling beast moves into a raging metal tune with hellish speed.

Cadaver comes alive again, that’s the good news. Oldschool death metal fans should check out this first sign of life. You will not regret it.
