Thronehammer rises from the depths like a monolith of ancient stone and rusted steel—mighty, bleak, and of overwhelming force. The German-British band was founded in 2012 by Stuart West and has since evolved far beyond its roots in epic doom. As the band’s founder and creative force, West continues to shape Thronehammer’s unmistakable identity with a vision driven equally by a respect for tradition and the courage to evolve.
With Slay | Kill | Erase, set for release on October 9, 2026, via Supreme Chaos Records, Thronehammer presents its most ambitious work to date. Eight songs with a total running time of 74 minutes consistently continue along the path they’ve set out on, delving even deeper into atmospheric and post-rock soundscapes without losing the overwhelming intensity that lies at the heart of the band. Guest vocals by Max Hemmann (Motorowl) lend the album additional emotional depth and reveal further facets of the Thronehammer universe.
