Review MOTÖRHEAD “Kiss of Death (20th Anniversary Edition)”

Twenty years ago, Motörhead released Kiss of Death, their 18th studio album—another landmark in the band’s legendary career. Packed with everything that made Motörhead one of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll bands of all time, the album kicks off with the blistering opener “Sucker” and features timeless classics such as “God Was Never on Your Side” and the Ramones tribute “R.A.M.O.N.E.S.”

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Kiss of Death returns in a special Anniversary Edition. Remastered from the original master tapes using the half-speed mastering process, the album delivers even greater clarity, power, and sonic depth, giving every track renewed impact. The release also includes newly written liner notes by Dave Ling, offering fresh insights into the album’s creation and legacy.

Completing the package is a previously released live recording of Motörhead’s performance at the 2007 Lowlands Festival in the Netherlands, capturing the band at the height of their live powers.
