“Guilt Trippin’” – the new single from DEEP PURPLE

Deep Purple are releasing their new single, “Guilt Trippin’,” today—just a few days before the worldwide release of their new studio album, SPLAT!, on July 3.

What begins with a deceptively gentle piano intro develops into one of the most unpredictable and rousing moments on SPLAT!—and one of Ian Gillan’s most impressive vocal performances on the album.

Behind the music is another one of SPLAT!’s wonderfully strange stories. In “Guilt Trippin’,” God and Charles Darwin meet for a drink in a pub and reflect on how the evolution of humanity on Earth hasn’t quite gone according to plan.

The accompanying video follows a fly and a maple seed spaceship on their wild flight through the increasingly absurd and surreal world of SPLAT!.
