The New Year’s Poem

The end of 2021 is near
Let’s look back on this year
We started with some hope and fear
And we knew it will become a different year

It brought some misery and pain
No live shows and festivals was no gain
A whole industry put on hold
Due to a pandemic that spread like mold

We missed the feeling of sound
A groove that is all around
We missed the times with our bros
Instead a feeling of loneliness arose

But it was not always pain
Sometimes 2021 was also a gain
A lot of new albums faced a release
Music that surely led to an ease

Now it is 2022 we will face
Is it a similar year with a similar pace?
Again, there is a lot of hope and some fear
Hope remains and it will become a better year

Regardless of any age
We hope that we can see bands back on stage
Hanging out with friends is what we want
Hopefully there is no reason that we can’t

Listening to chords and riffs
That’s what blows away all the niff
Welcome 2022
We count on you
