CD review H.E.A.T. ‘II’

Since more than a decade Swedish H.E.A.T. became to a deliverer of excellent Melodic Metal albums, all being a treat for your ears. Two years after ‘Into the Great Unknown” has been revealed it’s the next musical strike that stands in line for being released and it’s a next melodic highlight they quintet adds to their discography.

Simple entitled ‘II’ the longplayer picks it off where the guys ended on ‘Into the Great Unknown’. H.E.A.T. is on a mission to ‘Rock Your Body’, which they for sure do with the excellent opener. It’s not really ‘Dangerous Ground’ the guys are moving on but there is a risk of getting addicted to the great melodies the album features. Just to ‘Come Clean’, the album is a next ‘Victory’ for the band hailing from Sweden. Although the story of H.E.A.T. is a story of success, the band never presented themselves with a ‘We Are Gods’-approach. They stand with both feet on the ground, just rising the “Adrenaline’-level of fans with their songs that you should consume ‘One By One’ with an ease.

Having found their formula for success the guys have surely something to say instead of having ‘Nothing to Say’. It might be a too big statement to say that “Heaven Must Have Won an Angel’ with this album. However, what H.E.A.T. delivers ‘Under the Gun’ of living up the quality of earlier releases impresses. The ‘Rise’ of H.E.A.T. will certainly continue with this longplayer, which is their 6th in 13 years.

‘II’ is colorful, melodic, heavy and entertaining. The moment the last tone fades away you will press the ‘Start’ button again – believe me.
