If you are done already with the usual radio x-mas songs then let me tell you that L.A. Guns offer an alternative. Not that this planet is lacking x-mas carols but if you want to have a rocking holiday period you have a new release you could go for.
Sleaze Rock veterans L.A. Guns recorded five songs, actually three and a half, since ‚The Bill‘ starts with no less than William Shatner who has a guest appearance and tals for quite a while into an answering machine.
Slade’s ‚Merry x-mas Everybody‘ is now available as an L.A. Guns interpretation too and it works since the song’s just great. These where two songs and you can’t really name ‚Dreidel‘ with 9 seconds length real tune. That’s different with the anarchic ‚There Ain’t No Sanity Clause‘’. The Damned signs being responsible for the original version that doesn’t lose any of the original vibe on this EP. With Ramones’ ‚Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want to Fight Tonight)’ this release, available as digital download only, comes to an end. It offers a 13 minutes escape of the traditional x-mas commerce and hectic. Earphones on and start rocking.
