New music from POWER TRIP

Today, Power Trip is releasing an impressive new double single, “Precinct 3” / “Scavenger,” marking the beginning of the next chapter in their history. Fans have been waiting nearly a decade for new material and likely had long since given up hope. This makes their return all the more impressive: “Precinct 3” and “Scavenger” unmistakably draw on the band’s past while simultaneously pointing the way to the future.

For Power Trip, “Precinct 3” / “Scavenger” mark the beginning of a new chapter following the death of Riley Gale in 2020. The band now faces the immense challenge of building on a legacy they’ve forged over a decade through hard-won successes, major tours, and ultimately a Grammy nomination. But instead of looking back, Power Trip is resolutely looking ahead: “Precinct 3” / “Scavenger” showcase a band confidently forging its own path.

The songs were recorded at Empire Sound Studio in Carrollton, Texas. This marks the band’s first collaboration with star producer Jacob Hansen (Arch Enemy, Volbeat, Amon Amarth, The Black Dahlia Murder, and others), who succeeds in preserving the raw energy of Power Trip’s earlier work while adding a polished touch to the band’s new ideas.
