Ignite are back with the double single “Still Wide Awake” / “Guilty Wounds” and have announced their new studio album, “Still Wide Awake,” for January 15, 2027. The two songsare know online and mark the beginning of a new phase for the California-based hardcore punk band: With their newly founded label, 93rpm Records, Ignite will now take control of their own releases.
Musically, the quartet—featuring Eli Santana (vocals), Brett Rasmussen (bass), Nik Hill (guitar), and Craig Anderson (drums)—returns to the intensity of their ’90s roots. Firmly rooted in Orange County hardcore and punk, Ignite combine raw energy and catchy melodies with deliberate metal and dark goth influences. The upcoming album is set to feature the fastest and angriest songs in the band’s history.
Ignite also remain uncompromising in their lyrics: they tackle U.S. immigration policy, reproductive autonomy, and men’s mental health. For bassist Brett Rasmussen, one thing is paramount: “We have to be moved by our own music and lyrics for a song to make it onto the album.”
