New song from AMON AMARTH unveiled

With their new single “Eight Legs of Thunder,” Amon Amarth unleash the next anthem from their upcoming album The Allfather Awakens Inspired by Sleipnir, Oden’s (Note: Oden is the Swedish form of the name Odin and is deliberately spelled this way here) legendary eight-legged steed, and driven by a galloping riff and a powerful chorus, the track storms through Norse mythology with full force.

Meanwhile, the accompanying video transports the story to a completely unexpected setting: a gritty, modern American Western featuring cowboys, pickup trucks, and endless highways. Director Dariusz Szermanowicz explains enthusiastically: “With ‘Eight Legs Of Thunder,’ we wanted to break away from the classic metal music video formula once again. To do this, we combined the rough, dusty atmosphere of a modern Western with the epic, dark mythology surrounding Odin’s eight-legged steed. The result is a fast-paced, cinematic ride full of Western suspense, uncompromising action, and a dash of dark humor. We didn’t just want to shoot a music video—we wanted to make a statement.”

“Eight Legs Of Thunder” is the final preview of the upcoming album The Allfather Awakens, which will be released on October 2 via Metal Blade Records.
