HATEBREED – new album announce and lead single unveiled

Often studied and imitated, but never equaled: The Grammy-nominated hardcore legends Hatebreed have been a mainstay of the hardcore and metal scenes for nearly three decades. After setting the standard with their genre-defining releases Under the Knife (1996) and Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire (1997), Hatebreed continued to fly the flag for metallic hardcore; albums like Perseverance (2002), The Rise of Brutality (2003), and Supremacy (2006) topped charts worldwide.

More recently, the band has continued its unstoppable rise with modern albums like The Concrete Confessional (2016) and Weight of the False Self (2020), which have also made their mark on charts worldwide. Their core values—self-actualization, perseverance, and living an honest life—have taken them from performing in backyards and basements to headlining festivals; they play sold-out shows worldwide and thus live out exactly what they preach.

Produced by longtime collaborator Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Accept, Shadows Fall), “Kill Count Increase” is a crossover masterpiece: blistering tempo, devastating riffs, and frontman Jamey Jasta’s venomous growls, which conjure up bloody scenes of carnage.

“‘Kill Count Increase’ is the opener on *Fatal Paradox* and perfectly captures the essence of our first album in six years right from the very first second,” explains Jasta. “It’s no-nonsense, uncompromising Hatebreed sound. Fast. Hard. The song gets straight to the point and doesn’t let you catch your breath until two and a half minutes in. It tears the room—and everyone in it—apart—and by the end, everyone is screaming for more.”

With no holds barred and taking no prisoners, the Connecticut-based force of nature is at its peak on Fatal Paradox, overwhelming listeners with a barbaric mix of breakdowns, D-beats, and crushing attacks. Whether it’s the thrash elements of “Kill Count Increase” and “Total Invincible” or the top-notch hardcore of “The Carrion Choir” and “Truth Is A Lion”—rage is always the spark that sets off the powder keg in glorious eruptions of violence.
