FLOOR JANSEN launches her new single “Run”

Today, Floor Jansen returns with her new single “Run,” along with a lyric video, released via REVAMP Music in collaboration with Warner Music. Following her solo debut album Paragon, a sold-out tour, and nearly 150 million streams across her entire solo catalog, “Run” marks the beginning of a powerful new chapter in her solo career.

Musically, the single showcases a harder and darker side of her solo sound. “Run” was produced by Gordon Groothedde, with whom Floor had previously collaborated on the last album by her former band, After Forever – before she joined Nightwish. Lyrically, “Run” explores themes such as liberation, self-empowerment, and the courage to stop conforming to others’ expectations.

“For me, ‘Run’ is about no longer bending over backward or making myself smaller just to meet others’ expectations,” explains Floor. “It’s about letting go of the mask, trusting yourself, and having the courage to show who you really are. Musically, this song feels to me like the beginning of a more powerful and uncompromising chapter—while still remaining honest, melodic, and 100 percent me.”
