May is the season when nature awakens. Sunshine and colours herald the brighter side of the annual cycle, but for rock enthusiasts who still appreciate darker moments, there are options. Cemetery Skyline, for example, delivers a contrast to the bright season outside with their gloomy, gothic-infused music.
Cemetery Skyline comprises Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity, The Halo Effect, Grand Cadaver) on guitars; Markus Vanhala (Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum, I Am the Night) on keyboards; Santeri Kallio (Amorphis) on bass; Victor Brandt (Dimmu Borgir, Witchery, ex-Entombed/Entombed A.D., ex-Firespawn) on bass; and Vesa Ranta (Sentenced, The Abbey) on drums.
A few years ago, these guys launched an album called ‘Nordic Gothic’, and now they are embarking on a tour which includes six shows in Germany, one of which will take place at Bahnhof Pauli in Hamburg.
