Deftones are back with another single from their upcoming album “private music”: “milk of the madonna.” The track follows the first release, “my mind is a mountain.”
“private music” is the tenth album by the Grammy-winning and internationally multi-platinum-selling band from Sacramento, California, and the first since “Ohms” five years ago, which brought Deftones another top 10 success in Germany. “private music” will be released on August 22, 2025 via Reprise/Warner Records.
“private music” marks the beginning of a new chapter for Deftones. The album was recorded in several locations in California, including Malibu and Joshua Tree, as well as in Nashville, Tennessee. It was produced and recorded in collaboration with Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz, with whom the band previously worked on “Diamond Eyes” (2010) and “Koi No Yokan” (2012). It is their third joint production – and once again, Deftones explore creative boundaries in a way that only they can.
