Review FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH “20 Years Of Five Finger Death Punch – Best Of Volume 1”

Founded in 2005, Five Finger Death Punch (FFDP) are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. With nine studio albums under their belt, the multi-platinum Las Vegas metallers are among the most commercially successful bands of the 2000s.

To pay tribute to such a long period of musical success, FFDP has decided to launch a compilation of their greatest and most successful songs. As they do not own the rights to the original master tapes, the band has taken a similar approach to that of Taylor Swift. As remixing and remastering weren’t possible, the band decided to re-record their greatest hits. The result is the 2025 versions of songs such as “Under and Over It”, “Wrong Side of Heaven” and “Battle Born”, which can be found on the album “20 Years of Five Finger Death Punch – Best of Volume 1”. The album also includes a new version of “I Refuse” — a fitting title considering the context of this release. Adding to the excitement are guest vocals by none other than Maria Brink (In This Moment).

Last but not least, there are three live recordings, starting with “Trouble”. These capture the immense live energy well and provide a perfect way to celebrate two decades of FFDP.
