Live report STAGGERING LEECH, Musicstar, Norderstedt – February 24th, 2024

MHMB went to Norderstedt, Germany to support the local music scene and witness the first show in a while of a band called Staggering Leech. The band has undergone a transformation in recent years, including a new drummer and a switch from English to German lyrics.

They have also been working on a new album called ‘Das wahre Leben’, which will be released soon. The band’s first live listening session for fans was held at Musicstar in Norderstedt, a small but well-known venue north of Hamburg. Two great and passionate guys manage this cool venue, which hosted Staggering Leech tonight. As with home games, the room quickly filled up with many friends, family, and fans of the band who found their way to Musicstar.

Staggering Leech played through the entire tracklist of their upcoming album. It’s beer & denim rock music with German lyrics that created an enthusiasm among everybody attending tonight. Even a break between sets couldn’t dampen the spirit in the room, and everyone enjoyed a breath of fresh air in the sauna-like venue.

With this show, Staggering Leech has started a new era and we will see what the future holds when their new album is released. Perhaps the four musicians from Germany’s north will perform in your town.
