CAUSE OF DEAF RECORDS and PLATTENKISTE announce an exciting metal compilation in vinyl

Plattenkiste in Hamburg is one of the well-established record stores in the greater Hamburg area and beyond. Owner Christian Kind has been running the business for many years with passion and deep knowledge of rock and metal. In addition, also movie enthusiasts will also find some interesting stuff at Plattenkiste.

Next to the record shop, Christian also runs a podcast (unfortunately only in German) called Cause Of Deaf, which he started with Lars Rempe, the guitarist of Mount Atlas. And, talking about Cause Of Deaf, it is also the name of a new label, with Christian and Lars at the helm.

It is the newly founded label that will release a special vinyl album. The idea came during the pandemic when Christian launched a compilation-CD named ‘Rock Down the Lockdown’, which included 51 songs by 49 bands. The new vinyl album is the next step, following the CD release and will feature twelve excellent rock and metal tracks.

The first band that contributed with a song has been German thrash metal veterans Tankard, followed by some Swedish bands like Horisont and Dead Lord, who both added a rare song to this compilation. With Pyogenesis, Shitshow, and Yør, the local scene is represented too. Also on the track listing are Majak, who even wrote an extra song for this release.

The release of this exciting album is scheduled for end of August this year and the longplayer will be available at Plattenkiste, Hamburg.
