It was almost one year ago when Marko Hietala announced his departure from Nightwish. Although the bassist and singer wasn’t that much present anymore compared to the Nighwish-days, Hietala continued to perform some shows and now he launched a live video for ‘Dead God’s Son’ which was filmed during the festival season.
Marko Hietala stated about the song: “In ´Dead God’s Son´ we are in the infamous existential crisis. Everything hurts and everything is precious. Every direction is just as good and nothing will replace whatever has been lost. Like many others I’ve been there. And you always go there alone.”
Hietala is also working on a new album and announced a few shows in Finland:
