CHÉ AIMEE DORVAL’s new album released today

Today Canadian singer Ché Aimee Dorval release her new album ‘The Crowned’. The singer from Vancouver enjoyed a colorful youth, full of creativity and adventures. All this helped Dorval to develop an individualism which she transports nowadays into her music.

Rock and metal fans might know the singer since she joined prog master Devin Townsend for Causalities Of Cool and also supported him on his latest longplayer ‘Lightwork’.

Although the songs on ‘The Crowned’’ aren’t metal nor hard rock, it’s still worth to mention the album also on a blog like. It is simply because all the elven songs on ‘The Crowned’’ are great musical achievements. Loaded with a lot of feel and emotions the longplayer is a treat for ears and mind. Rock, soul and folktronica, these are the main influences that let the album shine beyond the power of heavy riffs. Tunes like the title track, but also the touching ‘Loveless’ are songs that goes straight to the heart and fascinate by their emotional depth. The latter is also created by the stellar vocals of Ché Aimee Dorval, who has the ability to bring songs to life instead of just singing them.

In addition no less than Bob Rock was at the helm, which ensures an excellent sound of the album.

If you are open for music beyond the mighty riff, you might enjoy ‘The Crowned’.
