TYPE O NEGATIVE’s ‘Dead Again’ re-issued today

Type O Negative was and is one of the most impressive bands heavy metal brought to surface. The band from NYC was the brainchild of Peter Steele and what he, together with his companions Josh Silver, Kenny Hickey and Johnny Kelly created was and still is music, that stands on its own. And not to forget Sal Abruscato (A Pale Horse Named Death, ex- Life Of Agony), who was part of the band between 1990 and 1994. Steele’s vocals, the doom-laden riffs and gothic atmosphere, this is the foundation for a sound, that nobody ever came close too – before and after Type O Negative.

The band released seven longplayers of which ‘Dead Again’ was the final one before bandleader Pete Steele passed away in 2010 at the age of 48.

Today, ‘Dead Again’ will be re-released in various formats. The 2022 edition includes all ten songs from the original album, plus some live recordings, reflecting other musical highlights of Type O Negative.
