Ronnie James Dio was certainly one of the most iconic and influential singers in rock and metal. It was his voice and his way of singing that enriched the sound of bands like Black Sabbath, Rainbow and Dio. Ronnie James Dio passed away in 2010, which was a shock for the metal community.
Under the title of ‘Rainbow in the Dark’ the Dio-autobiography, edited by Mick Wall, is in the starting blocks and will be published on July 27th in English and a month later, on August 27th, in German. Over more than 200 pages, the book sketches a vivid, raw and faithful portrait, a story that starts starts and finishes at Madison Square Garden, the legendary venue in New York which symbolizes the biggest success of the powerful singer.
