CD review AXXIS ‘Best of EMI Years’

(*/10) Without any doubts Axxis to the spearhead of Melodic Metal hailing from Germany. The band that celebrates its 30th anniversary was recently on tour with a setlist that was build on the first four Axxis albums and the birthday party’s going on.

‘Best of EMI years’ is a new compilation of Axxis featuring songs from the first four albums too. No doubt that band classics like ‘Living in a World’, ‘Fire & Ive’ and ‘Ships are Sailing’ are part of this good vibe release.

As in the beginning of Axxis the band is still in great shape and form. Songs like the ones on this release are timeless Rock hymns and seeing Bernhard Weiss and band on stage even amplifies the positive impression and underlines their role in German Rock and Metal.
