CD review MUNICIPAL WASTE ‘The Last Rager’ – EP

(8/10) Virginia Metal metalheads Municipal Waste add a new four-track EP to the books. Three long years after the latest full-length album saw the light of day it’s ‘The Last Rager’ bringing some new stuff to the plate.

Municipal Waste delivers to expectation. Raw and ruthless Thrash Metal is what the powerpack stands for and it’s exactly what the four songs reflect. ‘Wave of Death’ marks the starting point. The grooving Metal anthems is build on a great oldschool riff with shouts intensifying the two minutes smasher. It’s Thrash metal boiled down to its essence.

‘Car Nivore (Street Meat) is furious and the merciless ‘Rum For Your Life’ isn’t a calmer moment either. The title track rounds off this EP and with three minutes almost an epos. If you need a soundtrack for solid neck-muscle training, this is what you’re looking for.
