MISSSTAND launch a new single incl. Guido Donot

On September 3, 2026, Missstand will release “Lichter? Aus!”—the third single from their upcoming album Smells Like Abgrund, which is set to be released on September 18, 2026, via Aggressive Punk Produktionen (Edel / Kontor New Media).

Together with Guido Donot of the Donots, Missstand deliver a powerful anti-anthem about carrying on when hope threatens to fade. The song tells of dead batteries, disillusionment, and the feeling of having to start over again and again—without slipping into trite slogans about perseverance or false optimism.

“Not a party slogan, but also not any ‘think positive and everything will be fine’ bullshit,” is how the band describes the song. “Maybe not everything will turn out okay. But we’ll keep going.” Navigating between nostalgia, resignation, and unbroken energy, “Lichter? Aus!” focuses on solidarity rather than giving up. The central line—“„Am Ende gehen die Lichter aus / Doch heut bleibt keiner allein“ („In the end, the lights go out / But today, no one is left alone”)—sums up the song’s message.
