WACKEN OPEN AIR and the UKE Hamburg are jointly calling for a “Blood Donation Day”

Donate blood and receive an exclusive Wacken T-shirt: The University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) and Wacken Open Air (W:O:A) are continuing their joint blood donation activity. On Saturday, August 22, the UKE and W:O:A invite you to “Blood Donation Day” on the UKE campus.

As a special guest, the Heavy METALCHOR e.V. will perform a variety of classics and provide musical accompaniment for the day. METALCHOR e.V. is a nonprofit choir founded in August 2024, consisting of about 100 members. What unfolds on stage during their performances is more than just a traditional choral performance: powerful voices, metal and rock classics, and a palpable energy that unites the audience and the performers. METALCHOR e.V. consists of a chapter in Lübeck, the NORTHERN RAVENS, and a chapter in Hamburg, the TUNES OF DARKNESS. The event is also supported by guitarist VanSteef, as well as the Wacken Foundation and Metality e.V., who are inviting attendees to participate in additional on-site activities.

As a thank-you, all blood donors who donate on the event day will receive an exclusive, limited-edition “Blood Donor” T-shirt—available this year in two different colors and, as always, only while supplies last! Those who cannot, are not allowed to, or do not wish to donate are, of course, still very welcome.
