Skid Row’s RACHEL BOLAN announces his very first solo album

After four decades as a driving force behind Skid Row, bassist and songwriter Rachel Bolan is releasing his first solo album under the name Bolan on June 12th, 2026 via earMUSIC. “Gargoyle of the Garden State” is a powerful, deeply personal debut, marked by the raw charm, attitude, and narrative depth of his New Jersey roots.

Produced by Grammy winner Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Skid Row, Rush, Evanescence, Alice In Chains). What began as a simple conversation among friends quickly evolved into a work that significantly defines Bolan’s voice as a songwriter and musician.

Musically, the album offers catchy, anthemic songs in which Bolan combines the raw energy of punk rock with strong melodies. A particular highlight is the cover of Oasis’ “Rock And Roll Star,” which he reinterprets in his unmistakable style.

Beyond his role as bassist, Bolan plays most of the instruments himself and shapes the album from the ground up. Influenced by everything from Britpop and glam to punk rock and new wave, the record reflects his entire musical career.
