Review THUNDER “Live”

Thunder is a hard rock band from the UK that has enjoyed great success. Founded in 1989, the band launched a highly successful debut album called “Backstreet Symphony” that acted as a springboard for “Laughing on Judgement Day”. This second album also entered the charts outside the UK, and both albums paved the way for a successful career in three waves.

‘Live’ was the band’s first live album, which was also released outside Japan and included shows that the band played in 1997 at Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton and at Shephard’s Bush Empire in London. The first release of “Live” was in early 1998, and earMUSIC is now re-launching it. This comprehensive summary of Thunder’s first four albums also includes covers of songs such as “Gimme Some Lovin'” and “Dance to the Music”, the latter of which features a loud sing-along.

This fully remastered version of “Live” showcases the highlights of a band that combines great melodies and hooks with blues-soaked grooves and some rough edges. This well-crafted live album also features bonus material, including acoustic versions and studio recordings – all in all music that put you in a good mood.
