THE AVETT BROTHERS and MIKE PATTON released AVTT/PTTN debut album

Mike Patton is a singer with a wide range of musical preferences. He is best known for his time with Faith No More and the thrash metal-infused Mr. Bungle, as well as the avant-garde project Fantômas, which features Dave Lombardo on drums. Now, the singer is adding a new musical undertaking to his list of achievements.

Patton and The Avett Brothers started a collaboration called AVTT/PTTN, which is different from most of Patton’s previous work. Their self-titled debut album was released on November 14th, 2025 via Thirty Tigers/Ramseur/Ipecac, and it’s an interesting mix of songs that form the tracklist. Folk and Americana influences meet dark wave elements and rock roots.

AVTT/PTTN is an interesting collaboration that showcases Mike Patton’s musical versatility and The Avett Brothers’ openness to incorporating new influences into their sound.
