“Pay With Your Blood“ campaign on 13.9.2025 in Hamburg

The “Pay with your Blood” blood donation campaign is entering its next round and will take place at eight locations across Germany. Wacken Open Air is continuing the successful campaign and, together with the Universitätsklinik Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), is hosting a major kick-off event at the UKE on September 13, 2025.

Lord of the Lost will be there as special guests, not only donating blood themselves, but also surprising their fans with an acoustic set as a trio. The campaign is also supported by guitarist “VanSteef,” as well as the Wacken Foundation and Metality e.V., who will be present with further activities.

A special highlight for W:O:A guests: anyone who shows their 2025 festival wristband and donates blood will receive a limited edition “Pay with your Blood” T-shirt, which will be available exclusively at the UKE and Berlin’s Charité hospital – while stocks last.

The initiative has a clear goal: to increase the willingness to donate blood in Germany in the long term, to ensure the supply of blood banks, and at the same time to underline the social commitment of the metal community.
