DROPKICK MURPHYS – German tour dates for 2025

Following the successful tour of the Dropkick Murphys in January and February, further dates will follow in the fall of this year. As proud outsiders of Boston rock ‘n’ roll who have become international champions, they bring their rousing Irish folk rock to German stages.

Founded by Ken Casey, who is still a member of the band today, as well as Rick Barton and Mike McColghan, they started out playing in small clubs and pubs, where their unique blend of punk rock and Irish folk music quickly attracted a loyal fan base.

Since 1996, they have created music that is celebrated in packed arenas and legendary performances, and they stand for a powerful sound that brings people together. With over 8 million units sold worldwide and half a billion streams, their shows are known for their incredible energy and passionate fans, who become an extended family. The Dropkick Murphys have played sold-out concerts on multiple continents.

In 2020, they were among the first to embrace streaming performances, including the groundbreaking “Streaming Outta Fenway” livestream, which attracted more than 5.9 million viewers and ranked No. 3 on Pollstar’s “Top 2020 Live Streams” chart.

The Dropkick Murphys St. Patrick’s Day Stream 2021 “…Still Locked Down” reached No. 1 on the Pollstar livestream charts and had over a million views. In 2022, they returned with their first purely acoustic album, “This Machine Still Kills Fascists,” which is unlike anything they’ve ever done before. This album, as well as its follow-up, “Okemah Rising,” breathe new life into the largely unreleased lyrics of the legendary Woody Guthrie, curated by Woody’s daughter Nora Guthrie.

Each Dropkick Murphys album has its own charm, and their music is often characterized by social activism and working-class themes. On their 2025 tour, they will play hits from their four consecutive Billboard Top 10 albums “Turn Up That Dial”, “11 Short Stories Of Pain & Glory”, “Signed and Sealed in Blood,” and “Going Out In Style.” Of course, classics such as “I’m Shipping Up To Boston,” which comes from the gold-certified album “The Warrior’s Code” (2005) and has been certified platinum twice, will also be included. In October and November, the band will visit a total of eight German cities.
