SLIME launch a next song, taken from the upcoming album

Punk band Slime are releasing “Evolution”, the second single from their new album “3!+7hoch1”, which will be released on August 8, 2025. Slime prove that they continue to reinvent themselves even after more than four decades of band history. It is the 13th album since the band was founded and the second with Tex Brasket, the band’s singer since 2021. Slime will go on tour with “3!+7hoch1” from fall 2025.

There are formulas that cannot be solved. Equations that remain valid no matter how often you rearrange them. 3!+7to the power of 1 equals 13 – a prime number, indivisible, stubborn. Just like Slime themselves, who, after more than four decades in the business, prove that German punk is not a nostalgic math problem, but a living variable in a world full of unknowns.

While other veterans of the scene have long been leafing through the formulas of their own past, Slime are consistently developing their equation further with “3!+7hoch1”. Anyone who has created milestones such as “Schweineherbst” or “Alle Gegen Alle” and thus left a lasting mark on an entire scene could, after more than four decades, certainly could claim the right to tour the country as a nostalgic cover band of their own hits. The fact that Slime have escaped this fate is no coincidence – rather, it is proof that authentic rebellion does not age, but multiplies with experience.

“Evolution”, the second single from “3!+7hoch1”, has been released. A song about humanity’s obvious unwillingness to learn, which is repeatedly demonstrated in past and current world events – to the point of acute self-destruction. The band released two music videos to accompany the song. The band says: “The first video is mega elaborate and was made by hand in over two months by the Krefeld artist collective Sputnic. Using stop motion, puppetry and homemade animation, they created an incredible story that totally blew us away. The result is a real work of art! The second video was created entirely with artificial intelligence – by AI artist Willem. When we saw it for the first time, we had a lump in our throat. It’s almost overwhelming to see our faces in this scenario!”
