JOE BONAMASSA revealed a next new song

Blues rock icon Joe Bonamassa returns with “Trigger Finger,” the latest single from his highly anticipated new album “Breakthrough,” out July 18 on J&R Adventures. The track marks another chapter in Bonamassa’s career and captures his signature blend of powerful guitar riffs, driving rhythms and raspy vocals. “Trigger Finger” was co-written with his longtime collaborator Tom Hambridge. An uptempo anthem about resilience, reinvention and the fire that drives us forward.

With fiery guitar playing and no-frills lyrics, Bonamassa leans towards a rougher, rockier sound on “Trigger Finger” that emphasizes the spirit of the album. “Breakthrough”, produced by Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, The Black Crowes, Journey), was created in Greece, Nashville and Los Angeles and combines global influences to create a dynamic, genre-spanning collection of songs.

“Trigger Finger” is the fourth release from Bonamassa’s new album and follows the album’s title track “Breakthrough”, a soulful and uplifting anthem of transformation. It was preceded by the atmospheric, introspective “Shake This Ground” and the warm, groove-driven “Still Walking With Me”. Each of these singles presents a different facet of Bonamassa’s ever-evolving artistic work. At the same time, “Breakthrough” is his most stylistically diverse studio album to date and demonstrates his emotional range.
