Review UNANTASTBAR “Für Immer Wir”

Unantastbar is a punk rock band that hails from Brixen, South Tyrol. Since their start in 2004, the band has provided high-energy punk rock for more than two decades. To celebrate this anniversary, the band released a live album called “Wir Leben Laut. Live.” Their connected studio release, “Wir Leben Laut”, was the band’s first album released via Napalm Records, and their new effort, “Für immer wir”, will hit the shelves this week.

“Für immer wir” is the tenth studio album from the South Tyrolean punk rock outfit. The five-piece band sets the tone for the album with a powerful opener called “Ich will nicht” and it is a rebellious mindset that connects the songs on the album.

The lyrics explore themes of self-determination, freedom, and the untamed energy of youth. “Für immer jung” is an ode to the days when youthful carelessness defined life. “Beautiful Day” addresses friendship and fellowship in a familiar home-town atmosphere, followed by the upbeat “Dein Leben, Deine Wahl”.

“Zuhause” is an anthemic rocker with a big chorus, as is “Alles wird gut,” a half-acoustic song with a throbbing beat. The last track on “Für immer wir” is called “Immer wenn ich geh” and is a great finale to an album that has the potential to continue the South Tyrolian powerhouse’s successful streak.

“Für immer wir” is an energetic and powerful punk rock album. In a way, it connects to the band’s roots. Themes of togetherness, freedom, and an ode to Unantastbar’s home base run through this release. Unantastbar launches an authentic punk rock album with addictive melodies. You can sing along to some of the songs even while listening to the album for the first time. Entertaining, fun, and rebellious — that’s “Für immer wir”.
