UFO are one of the pioneers of hard rock. The British band’s sound had a huge influence on the music of the 70s, and between 1972 and 1978 the line-up included a young guitarist. The “German Wunderkind” was and is none other than Michael Schenker, who joined the band at the age of 17 and began an impressive career as part of a legendary band.
That was 50 years ago, and Schenker is highly respected when it comes to rock and metal. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of his time with UFO, the guitarist will release an album called ‘My Years With UFO’, which will be available on September 20, 2024 via earMUSIC.
The album will feature a track list of eleven songs, including great songs like “Doctor, Doctor”, “Lights Out” and other classics. To make this release really special, Schenker has invited many guests to contribute to the album. The first song, “Mother Mary”, has already been revealed, and it’s none other than Slash and Erik Grönwall who are present with guest appearances.
