Review THE DIRTY DENIMS “Party On!”

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that The Netherlands is a country of party people. Most of the time there is a positive atmosphere though and having fun is something you experience more than once. A band that brings this spirit into play is The Dirty Denims from Eindhoven.

The quartet formed in 2006 and their 2009 EP ‘Going Out’ served as a kickstart. The debut album ‘High Five’ followed and over the years The Dirty Denims have become an established part of the Dutch rock scene.

Inspired by blues-laden hard rock a la AC/DC, the quartet produced great songs that may not bring much new to the plate, but live by a very positive vibe. It’s good time rock that more and more fans started to enjoy. Step by step the band became increasingly popular outside their home country with shows in Germany, for example.

With “Party On!” the next musical strike from The Netherlands is waiting in the starting blocks and The Dirty Denims continue with what they do best. Energetic hard rock with powerful riffs and great vocal lines is what gets the party going.

There is no chance to stand still while songs like ‘Guestlist’ and the up-tempo ‘Come On’ thunder out of the speakers. A solid drive is what drives ‘Hell of a Night’ while the furious ‘I Want it Now!’ even shows some punk vibes.
