HALF ME released ‘SOMA’

Half Me is not exactly a new band. The five guys from Hamburg started in 2018, but it took a while until the band from Germany’s north could complete their studio debut. A few days ago, however, the time had come, and escorted by a release show at Hamburg’s cult club Logo, Half Me released their ‘SOMA’ album via Arising Empire.

‘SOMA’ is an extremely powerful record with twelve songs. It is not the epic and sensitive approach the guys follow, but the sledgehammer is called into play. The thundering riffs and breakdowns are like a punch in the face and when frontman Christopher Zühlke screams his head off, there is no stopping anymore. But the singer can also handle melodic clean vocals on songs like ‘Magma Hour’.

Half Me combines hardcore, metal and nu metal to an aggressive whole. If you want to get an impression of the music of the five guys from Hamburg you can listen to ‘I Am But a Guest in Exile’: https://youtu.be/VKjWRTgfyZ0
