To introduce Arjen Lucassen is like carrying sand to the beach. Not only that the Dutch guitarist was part of the legendary Vengeance, it’s his impressive solo career that put him right into the spotlight.
With the Ayreon project the multi-instrumentalist released the ‘Into the Electric Castle album in 1998, a good moment to celebrate the 20th anniversary in a special way.
The ‘birthday party’ took place at 013 in Tilburg, The Netherlands with a few sold-out shows, all built around the iconic longplayer. Staged in a great fashion the album was performed in its entirety with support of guests like Fish, Simone Simons, Damian Wilson and others.
The spectacle was captured and Mascot Label Group will release with ‘Ayreon – Electric Castle Live and Other Tales’ in various formats. Although 20,000 fans made it to Tilburg there are far more that now have the chance to enjoy a very special show. A first teaser can be watched HERE.
