Nightwish add with 'HUMAN. :II: NATURE.' their most mature album to their long list of musical achievements. Supported by an excellent production the Symphonic Metal spearhead brings songs to the plate, wowing from start to end. Although things seem to be planned to detail, there is still ease embedded that makes the album to a stellar listening experience. Bombast Symphonic Metal can't sound much better than what 'HUMAN. :II: NATURE.' offers. This album lifts the bar to a level that will not be reached that easily, maybe not even by Nightwish anymore.
Hamburg's Metal veterans Black Hawk deliver with 'Destination Hell' an album that isn't polished neither it's over-produced. It has a solid sound and a lot of edges. The ten songs might not bring that much new to the plate. Still they are authentic and real. No frills, some thrills and a lot of passion, that's Black Hawk's new album. If you like traditional Heavy Metal straight from the underground you should give the album a chance.
With 'Terminal Shock' Canadian metaller Traveler add a next album to their discography. The band, hailing from Calgary, premiered a year ago with 'Traveler' and it's the sophomore longplayer 'Termination Shock' unveiling again their passion for traditional Heavy Metal. 'Weapons of Tomorrow' became a pretty good Thrash Metal album with which the quintet unleashes a lot of energy and aggressiveness. Equipped with a good level of variation the 10 songs on Warbringer's new album are a real headbanger's delight.

'Lightless' is a well-done counterpart to the brighter days of spring. The quartet paints a claustrophobic musical picture with a lyrical concept, inspired by authors like Emile Zola and Thomas Ligotti. If you want to discover the depth of darkness, 'Lightless' is the album you should listen to.

Bernhard Weiss and band mates show that new situations demand adjusted game plans. 'Virus of a Modern Time' isn't the result of a longterm planning process. It's an EP with great songs that have been reactivated, acting as some musical sun-rays in days of darkness.
Soundwise Buffalo Summer is rooted in Hard Rock of the '70s/'80s with bands Like Led Zeppelin, Free and Whitesnake being a strong source of inspiration. The quartet uses these influences and connect them with a modern sound, leading to grooving and dynamic songs like 'Hit the Ground Running' and 'Deep Water'.
