CD review -(16)- ‘Dream Squasher’
'Dream Squasher' is not for the faint-hearted. Extremely down-tuned guitars create a wall of riffs in grey and cold concrete. This album is a musical monolith that can't be discovered after listening to it. 'Dream Squasher' needs several rounds to unfold its intensity and musical creativity. And after that a little bit of sunlight is surely not bad either.
CD review MYRKUR ‘Folkesange’
Myrkur releases with 'Folkesange' an album that builds on the predecessors while taking partly another road too. Amalie Bruun gave this longplayer a very personal touch, a record that doesn't shock with brutal Black Metal outbursts. 'Folkesange' finds its way to your mind and soul through emotional depth and purism. It's the spirit that catches you and helps to escape from the challenges of daily life. It's an impressive album that unveils a new detail every time listening to it.

(8/10) Gatecreeper is a rather new band. The guys from Arizona started their musical endeavor six years ago and it's a solid number of split-releasesbeing part of their track record. CD review INTER ARMA ‘Sulphur English’
(9/10) Richmond, VA is the homebase of this powerful Metal band that releases with 'Sulphur English' their fourth full-length album in their 13th year of existence. CD review DEVIL MASTER ‘Satan Spits on the Children of Light’
(9/10) The standard pattern for artwork of black metal releases includes a lot of black and white plus a moniker that can't be read due to a very unique typeface. A band that breaks this pattern is Devil Master from Philadelphia. The six-piece outfit released already a demo and an EP, entitled 'Inhabit the Corpse'.... Continue Reading →
