Avatar has shared their latest single ’God of Sick Dreams’ with an accompanying visualizer from their highly anticipated full-length, ’Hunter Gatherer’, due out August 7th, 2020 via Century Media Records. The track finds the band with no shortage of chugging riffs that revolve around some of the band’s catchiest choruses and heaviest moments to date.... Continue Reading →
CD review LAMB OF GOD ‘Lamb of God’
Lamb Of God remain true to their basic musical concept. Only few other bands represent modern thrash metal as good as Lamb Of God. Their eighth album is characterized by power, energy and dynamic. 'Lamb of God' ends a five year wait with a big blast and those who haven't trained their neck muscles over the years will not be able to do without sore muscles. Brute songs and a brute album, both of which fit well into the current time.

CD review TRIVIUM ‘What the Dead Men Say’
While other bands and labels partly postpone their new releases, Trivium and Roadrunner Records take another road. Matt Heavy and band mates release their new album as planned. CD review DYNAZTY ‘The Dark Delight’
In some of my earlier reviews I referred to the great sense of Swedish Rock bands for hooklines and melodies. Dynazty isn't an exception. The new longplayer 'The Dark Delight' is filled with a lot of this key ingredient without solely relying on it. The band, that started in 2008 in Stockholm, uses great melodies... Continue Reading →
CD review IRIST 'Order of the Mind'
Although there are many good bands hailing from South America THE protagonist of South American Metal is certainly Sepultura. Now, Irist isn’t a Brazilian band, but since the founders are Argentinean and Chilean some comparisons with the mighty spearhead of South American Metal are allowed. Pablo Davila and Bruno Segovia were inspired by the rise... Continue Reading →

Influencers became a buzz word over the last year in the context of social media, but their were always influencers around. CD review PRONG ‘Act of Defiance’ (EP)
Tommy Victor and band mates are hard workers. The Groove Metal pioneers don’t merely write good songs, they also take care about all band related issues themselves again. This certainly adds to Prong's image of being one of the real authentic bands. Prong is Prong, something’s also reflected on the new EP. To bridge the... Continue Reading →
