‘Punching the Sky’ is done with a steelworker approach rather a Houdini show. There are no tricks or false bottom. Armored Saint and ‘Punching the Sky’ is real and authentic from start to finish. 'S&M2' is better than the first attempt from 20 years ago and certainly the new version will become another commercial success for the Metal veterans from the Bay Area. Some of the songs are actually done very well, although the entire album feels like band and orchestra playing next to each other more than performing together as a unit. Combining two pieces of a puzzle doesn't necessary create a great total and that's a bit the case with this release too. The idea of making such an album is awesome and leaving the comfort-zone a bit more would have added extra excitement. 'Let's play safe' is the focus more than leaving the known.
The cinematic 'Wormhole' is the grande finale of an album that stands for a next step in the rise of Avatar. Heavy, modern, dynamic, innovative and with twists, that's Avatar's sound and the execute it in perfection on 'Hunter Gatherer'. Creativity seems to be a never-ending flow when it comes to the five guys from Sweden and bundling this flow in ten songs enforces the music even more. 'Hunter Gatherer', an album that entertains for a long time.
'Born Innocent' is the anticipated new Alcatrazz album. It features excellent music, written and recorded by passionate and experienced musicians that still follow their heart, which is driven by the beat of Rock'n'Roll.

With all the different influences Olsson succeeds in presenting a homogeneous Rock album by creating her own distinctive style. 'Mercy Machine' contains music that comes right from the heart and has a strong emotional component. You get the impression that every note on this album reflects the feeling of the very moment and that's what gives this album its dark charm and authenticity.
