'MMXX' is the new EP from Eskimo Callboy and I'm not sure if the world waited for it. The disc is a kind of Corona product the band recorded instead of being on the road. The band unleash 'MMXX' mid September, featuring 6 songs in the typical Eskimo Callboy fashion. What's new is frontman Nico... Continue Reading →

CD review DEAD LORD ‘Surrender’
Dead Lord had to go through some changes and challenges since having released with 'In Ignorance We Trust' their acclaimed third longplayer. CD review OCEANS OF SLUMBER ‘Oceans Of Slumber’
As I wrote in a post the other day, music is about emotions and the expression of those. What could be better in such a context than reflecting on own emotions, connected to personal experiences, and translating those into notes and lyrics. This is what makes a tune and an album tangible and real. It... Continue Reading →

The cinematic 'Wormhole' is the grande finale of an album that stands for a next step in the rise of Avatar. Heavy, modern, dynamic, innovative and with twists, that's Avatar's sound and the execute it in perfection on 'Hunter Gatherer'. Creativity seems to be a never-ending flow when it comes to the five guys from Sweden and bundling this flow in ten songs enforces the music even more. 'Hunter Gatherer', an album that entertains for a long time.
CD review IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT ‘Alphaville’
Imperial Triumphant certainly leave nothing to coincidence. There are sound enthusiasts at work who are highly committed to their musical vision with no compromises. 'Alphaville' with its ecstasy is certainly interesting for a smaller group of metalheads. The majority, however, will listen with open eyes and dropping jaws to the sound this album brings to the fore. Are you willing to take the challenge?
