CD review HELLHAMMER ‘Apocalyptic Raids’ – reissue
The range of music, penned by Tom G. Warrior, couldn't be summed up better that with two releases in 2020. CD review WARBRINGER ‘Weapons of Tomorrow’
'Weapons of Tomorrow' became a pretty good Thrash Metal album with which the quintet unleashes a lot of energy and aggressiveness. Equipped with a good level of variation the 10 songs on Warbringer's new album are a real headbanger's delight.
CD review IRIST 'Order of the Mind'
Although there are many good bands hailing from South America THE protagonist of South American Metal is certainly Sepultura. Now, Irist isn’t a Brazilian band, but since the founders are Argentinean and Chilean some comparisons with the mighty spearhead of South American Metal are allowed. Pablo Davila and Bruno Segovia were inspired by the rise... Continue Reading →
CD review TESTAMENT 'Titans of Creation'
Already while listening to the record the first time transferred me back in time to days when the band got out of the starting blocks. 'Titans of Creation' has the power of the first three longplayers, using modern production techniques that help to even strengthen this sonic punch. 'Titans of Creation' is raw and unpolished, still benefiting for a well-crafted sound.
CD review GRINDPAD 'Violence'
'Violence' pushes the pedal to metal and there aren't any moments to take a deep breathe. It's a like you're caught in a musical tornado for 42 minutes before the final note of 'To Those About to Die (20/20) spits you out into reality again. 'Violence' is raw and unpolished. It's dirty Thrash Metal the way it was invented by the mentioned genre pioneers. Grindpad belongs to the next generation of Thrash metal bands and what they offer with 'Violence' is stunningly good.

CD review ASSASSIN ‘Bestia Immundis’
Over the last years some German Trash Metal bands revitalized what started in the '80s and was put to sleep for some years. Assassin is one of these bands. CD review SLAUGHTER MESSIAH ‘Cursed to the Pyre’
Are you a fan of the early Kreator? Yes? Then you should check out Slaughter Messiah from Belgium. The quartet (L. Sabathan, Rod Iron Bitch, T. In more than 3 decades Thrash Metal veterans Sepultura celebrated many victories but had to go through some periods of renewal also.
