My World of Music – est. 2013
Mork has its beginning in 2004 and is the brainchild of Thomas Eriksen. It started as a side-project which also explains the relatively belated debut album. 'Isebakken' saw the light of day in 2013 and was a kind of a kickstart for more. More albums followed, of which 'Det Svart Juv' in 2019 was the... Continue Reading →
Baest's new album 'Necro Sapiens' is the first small disappointment in 2021. Impressing with the debut 'Danse Macabre' and 'Venemum', the new album is in nuances a further evolution, but also lacks the last punch. Baest stands for death metal that can be placed somewhere between Entombed and Bolt Thrower. That they also go to... Continue Reading →
Hamburg-based Endseeker used the concert-free months to work on the successor of 'The Harvest'. The new longplayer 'Mount Carcass' will hit the shelves on April 16th and the band comments: "We took all the frustration and despair over the cancelled shows and the whole misery Covid has brought upon us all and forged it into... 'The Thule Grimoires' is the new album from Aachen's death/black metal outfit The Ruins Of Beverast. In tradition with the previous albums, five in total, the new longplayer is also not a burst of joyfulness but a gloomy delight. The dark adventure of The Ruins Of Beverast has its beginning in 2003 and after a... Continue Reading →

Skelethal, that stands for brutal death metal since 2012. The guys, based in Lille (France) released a split and two EP's before they debuted with 'Of the Depths…' in 2017. Three years went by before Skelethal brought their furious sophomore album 'Uveiling the Threshold' to the record stores. At the end of November the time... Continue Reading →

An album in which I had great hope is the new album of Cadaver. Anders Odden, also known from Satyricon, started the band in 1988 and since then, Cadaver has been an on/off project. Three albums, that was essentially what Cadaver brought to the shelves. For a long time it was quiet around the band... Continue Reading →

If you could choose a running time for a death metal album, what would you go for. I guess that 66 minutes is a pretty good choice. Autopsy's newest strike features death metal hymns, rolled out precisely over one hour and six minutes. Anyhow, the death metal veterans from Oakland, California played a show at... Is 'Primeval' a new Venom Prison album? Yes and no. 'Primeval' is a retrospective that casts some light on the early days of the band from South Wales. The quintet started in 2014 and it was a few months later that the first delivery waited in line to be released. 'Defy the Tyrant' was the... Continue Reading →
Pause, break or hiatus, all just words that might describe the status of Death Metal veterans Benediction over the past years. What’s a fact though is, that the band released with ‘Killing Music’ their so far latest studio album in 2008 and now it's time for new stuff. These kind of 'return-' records always feed...
