Lamb Of God remain true to their basic musical concept. Only few other bands represent modern thrash metal as good as Lamb Of God. Their eighth album is characterized by power, energy and dynamic. 'Virus' is not just a sequel to 'Vector'. It also shows that Haken are still growing and evolving, but have found their own basic sound signature. Prog rock and prog metal fans will love 'Virus' and even newcomers to Haken will be impressed by soundscapes that are certainly not off the shelf. This 'Virus' is a virus you want get infected with.
'Stygian Crown' is a strong debut album, a longplayer that is a statement. These guys came to stay. Modern epic doom metal has to sound exactly like the quintet celebrates it for almost an hour on this album. Very strong.
