UK prog rockers Threshold played a show at Cultuurpodium Boerderij mid October this year. It was the recent release ‘Legends of the Shires’ that got special attention on this tour with Threshold playing the album in its entirety. The only songs from other releases have been ‘Pressure’ and ‘Slipstream’, both being the encore for a show, performed in front of enthusiastic fans.
Greeks proggers Silent Wedding has been the special guest in this tour, a band you should have on your radar, in case you missed them so far. Power and prog, that’s the best summary for this outfit that reminded me more than once of the earlier Dream Theater.
The opening act was Maxxwell from Switzerland. Their modern rock didn’t exactly fit into the context of progressive music, but their 30 minutes show was energizing and I guess that’s the main task of an opening act.
